Delete your Briefly account

In the app

Open Briefly, go to the You tab and choose Delete account. Deletion happens immediately.

Without the app

Email info@brieflyaudio.com with the subject "Delete my Briefly account" and the email address you use to sign in. You can write from any address. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, tell us that too.

Before deleting anything, we will confirm that the account is yours, for example by sending a message to the account's email address and asking you to confirm. An email that only claims to be from the account holder is not enough. We will reply once the account is deleted.

What is deleted

Your account and all the data linked to it in our database: your profile, listening activity, library, queue, preferences and playback diagnostics. Deleting in the app also clears the data the app stored on your phone.

What may be kept, and for how long

• Crash reports, which do not include your email address or account identifier: up to 30 days.
• Technical sign-in and email delivery logs held by our providers, and database backups: for a limited period under their retention settings.
• Emails you sent us, including your deletion request: as long as needed to keep a record of the request. You can ask us to delete them.
